Gill Carmody

As a former professional athlete, Gillian Carmody has a deep appreciation and understanding of sports performance. In addition, she is a dedicated teacher and practitioner of mind-body practices such as Qigong and T/ai Chi. She completed a ten-year training and mentorship program with world-renown Qigong Master, Kenneth Cohen. Gillian is well-versed in Qiogong for sport and Qigong for Health, and creates unique programs to suit the needs of her clients.

Qi is the essential or vital energy of the body and ‘gong’ means skill or work.

Lifestyle, genetics, environment and mental attitude all contribute to the conservation or depletion of qi.

Through qigong practice you will learn:

  • the basis of good posture and structural alignment in your body;

  • how to breath in a way that supports good health;

  • simple movements to help joints, muscles and tendons;

  • how to have much better focus and awareness in everyday situations.
